Summer is back and once again everyone is wondering how to make the most of their holiday. If summer school is on your list of things to do, here are some great reasons for you to go ahead and sign up:
- The brain is a muscle and it needs exercise. The more you learn, the more powerful you brain becomes. Don’t get out of the healthy habit of learning!
- According to researchers, you can forget up to 30% of what you have been taught during the academic year, if you don’t engage in any mental activity during the summer holiday.
- This break from school gives you the opportunity to brush up and improve on your existing academic knowledge. Getting a step ahead during the holiday might be a little sneaky, but it is not cheating!
- Should you decide to concentrate on English this summer, you will be amazed at how much confidence it generates. This could be the key ingredient to making that academic breakthrough.
- Learning is an enjoyable experience! Most institutes have smaller class sizes so you get more chance to interact with your teacher and classmates, and practice skills taught. Make the most of it!
- You will make brand new friends from all over the country. This is an opportunity to broaden your horizons and interact with fabulous, interesting and exciting people your age.
- When you return to school, college or university, you will be amazed at how much you have advanced in one or two short courses.
Let summer be a time that you reward yourself for the hard work you put in all year, by making sure that you stay ahead of the game. It is up to you….
Remember “A child educated only at school is an uneducated child” (George Santayana).
